What are US parts on a WASR? The only noticeable US parts to me on my WASR is the trigger, pistol grip, and compensator. I don't believe that is enough US parts. I'm also wondering how do WASR's get into the country with bayonet lugs and threaded barrels? I thought it was not allowed to import a rifle with those features.

The disconnector and hammer are US made.
The piston is also US made. It's not marked as US made, but it's made of stainless steel. Foreign made pistons are hard chromed. With the addition of the disconnector, hammer and piston you have 6 US made parts.
AFAIK there hasn't been a prohibition against bayonet lugs since the AWB expired. For a while after it expired the government allowed the importation of threaded barrels. That stopped at the end of '05 IIRC.
Legally WASRs do not have threaded barrels when they're imported now. The threads are covered with a muzzle device which is permanently attached (tack welded) to the barrel. When the device is attached it becomes part of the barrel.

To add to that, there are reports that these muzzle caps sometimes hide threaded barrels.... also, in my area there seem to be plenty of WASR 10/63 and GPs still floating around with slant muzzle brakes on thread.... So if the '05 import ban hasn't completely removed the supply. Otherwise, I  seem to remember somewhere on here were instructions on here before for re-threading blank barrels after the cap is removed (assuming the cap was covering an unthreaded barrel).

So century undoes the welds?

Sometimes Century removes the tack weld and installs a US made device. Some rifles have been sold with the foreign device tack welded on. My SWAG is that whether they remove the weld and replace the device or leave the foreign device and the weld on depends on whether or not they have US made devices.

If muzzle device is tack welded, does it count as a US made part?

It doesn't count as a separate part at all. It's considered to be part of the barrel because it's "permanently attached".
Century is "killing two birds with one stone". Only five US parts are required and the barrel isn't considered to have threads.
