Bought a GP WASR 10/63 at a gun show last weekend. Came with a Tapco 30 rd double stack mag.
http://i44.tinypic.com/ohmnfl.jpg The only decent "before" picture I could get. Ill update soon with end results. Chose the Minwax Red Mahogany 225. Sanded it down with 220 Grit. |

http://i41.tinypic.com/2z7h5l3.jpg I really like the way the color came out. Any thoughts? It has a dirty look to it still, which doesn't bother me, perhaps I'll add a bit more shine to it. |

I really like that dirty used look especially knowing how clean it really is What are you using to finish it off? I'd go tung oil (true tung oil that is), BLO or amber shelac

Idk if its the lighting or the tung oil or a combo of but the color really came to life. What brand tung oil did you go with? The real stuff? |
