Just pick up my first AK a WASR10 any tips or trick to improve it (besides lots of ammo) I would appreciate it. Signed Newbee

not much you need to do. if it already has a G-2 trigger in it maybe refinish the wood, i know most of my wasr's were in need of a refinish. other than that just stock up on mags and ammo.

BEFORE you shoot it clean it throughly. When you think it's clean, do it again.
Lubricate it and shoot it. Then clean it throughly a third time. If you're lucky you'll have removed most of the preservative the Romanians used to protect the rifle on its journey to the US.
