I'm new to the PSL's.. but it was love at first sight when I got my first one the other day..

I've seen a couple of PSL's in the photo thread with this flash hider...

Looking at the stock flash hider it looks like its pinned on, does anyone have any experience on how to remove/replace it..??

Flash hider IS pinned on and on 90%+ of them there are NOT threads under the flash hider.  The only way the FH you want can go on is to either thread the barrel if it has enough metal under the FH and weld it on as the front sight post is usually not equipped for the retaining pin.  If you do have one of the PSL's that does have a threaded barrel it should not be a big problem.

For example I just bought one of the catagory 1 kits from TGI as they are in primo shape and did have a threaded barrel which I am going to put the Russian/Polish FH that Brick is selling in the EE that is similar to the NoDak one you are wanting.  The NoDak one is a VERY good copy of the ones the Iraqi's made for their Tabuk rifles and it was a bastard copy of the Russian/Polish one.  I needed as US made one because the PSL I am building is going to have to be 922 compliant as it is NOT going to be an exempt 'sporter'.

I would advise thinking VERY carefully before you take the factory one off though.

I was afraid there wasnt going to be threads under the stock fh.. figured I'd ask before I got out the dremel...

I'll just leave the stock on.

If I thread the muzzle and add a US made flash hider, do I have to start changing FCG parts to be 922r compliant?
If I do change the flash hider and FCG, can I restore the bayonet lug?
