Hey folks,

I have a couple of SARs with trigger slap, so I tried installing G2 kits in each of them. Unfortunately, the G2 triggers have a bunch of play and I had to reinstall the Century triggers that came with them. This isn't an issue as the G2 connector and hammer seem to work great in conjunction with the Century trigger, and I've eliminated the slap, but has anyone else had a problem installing the G2 trigger in their Romanian's?

Thanks for the replies in advance!

Did you install the sleeve that comes with the tapco g2 FCG? It's not just an aid for installation, it's required for function.

.

Every one of my SARs has a G2 trigger/hammer/discon group in it.  None of them have/had a looseness problem.

It is my understanding that some SAR-3s have a problem with hammers and that Power Custom (aka RedStar Arms) makes a hammer to correct this issue, but none of mine suffer from that particular malady.

To me, it sounds as if you are not using the little tubular bushing, just as Drobs posted above.

Doh! I thought it was meant just for installation, similar to the what Red Star Arms includes with their trigger groups, of which I have two. Damn, off to re-install those pieces!

Thank you!

I did the same thing 1st time I installed one.
Sleeve goes through the trigger / disconect. Don't forget / loose the spring.

Okay, went back and installed the sleeves on both. The trigger pull is much nicer. I can tell already that it will be a smooth shooter at the range. Thanks for the help!
