| I have for years been loyal to the AR-15 and decided to buy an AK. I purchased a SAR-1 in excellent condition and it shoots very well, however when the last round fires the bolt is not held open on any of the three magazines I have. Is this a problem, if so what might be the cure? Thanks |

That is normal operation for a AK. Only Yugo mags and some Chinese mags allow the follower to act a a bolt hold open on a AK. The other 99% of the mags out there will not hold the bolt open on the last round. That has always been the Achilles' heel of the AK platform that the hammer falls on a empty mag.
