Bought a WASR today, tnd the front sight it drifted all the way to the left, and for the life of me can't get it back to the center.  I tried beating the hell out of it with a hammer, and still nothing.  Soaked it with some PB blaster and it's still stuck firm.

If you can do so safely, heat the sight so the metal expands. Then use the hammer again.

Chances are the front post has already been sighted at that position from the factory. I would shoot it before changing the position or you'll be posting another thread later about how your AK is shooting to the left.

well, i got it to move and centered it up, took it to the range and it was actually right on with the sight in the center.  only issues with the rifle were mag related

If you are talking about the side-to-side wobble that mags in WASRs often have, there is a fix that some people have successfully used in this thread: www.gunsnet.net/forums/showthread.php?t=290399&highlight=WASR+dimples

I swear I have tried heating my FSB with a propane torch and no force in the universe could get the sumbitch to move.

How'd you get it to move?

No, actually it was an issue with the mag itself-- either a bad spring or a bad follower (or both) as it was not feeding the next round into the gun.  Happened with two differnt mags.  One mag was already suspect due to it being sticky when I loaded it, but the other mag was a bit of a surprise.  Nothing a bit of cleaning, lube and maybe some new mag guts can't fix.

As for the FSB, I soaked it with PB blaster, heated it with a torch, then braced it on a piece of wood and smacked the hell out of it with a hammer.  Got the job done
