What's the difference between this 3-9 Kalinka Scope and the 1P21 (PO 3-9x42M)? One of these will be slapped on the PSL. |

Difference ? -- a BUNCH ! ! The 3-9 scope from Kalinka is a 3-9 scope with a range-finder off to the left side of the reticule. You select the magnification, adjust the top turret for the desired distance and line up the chevron. The 1P21 is a BIG auto-range finding scope. I've played with one a few times and you just line up your target in the box (man sized target), the scope sets the magnification based on distance and size of target, you line-up the chevron and squeeze. I just ordered a fixed eight power from Kalinka for my PSL (have a 4 and a 6 power but when shooting at 600-650 yards the magnification just left a little to be desired). I e-mailed Kalinka and asked what models of the fixed eight's were in stock and had a reply in under 36 hours. Right after I placed my order -- on line -- I again e-mailed Kalinka, thanked them for the quick reply and let them know I had just placed an order. Had a reply the next moring infoming me the scope was being shipped that day. Should have it by this coming Friday. I'll post a range report when I can. |
