Hi all, Wanted to ask a question on stock sets for the Romanian AKs. I am looking for a folding type butt stock, and I am also looking in to some kind of light mount, I don’t want to go with a full rail system. Just a easy spot to put a small light. Also how hard is it to replace the butt on an AK? Any help would be great. |

Not without some level of effort as the rear trunnions are vastly diff the way they assemble to the recvr. The Romy S/folder can directly replace the fixed stock - and vice/versa. Not so with the U/F due to the trunnion - your'e kinda stuck. I love my WASR S/folder, shoots great and I can go back to the basic wood in 2-3 mins. Do a paracord wrap on the S/folder and it looks even kewler. |
It was manageable enough, but it slipped around on my shoulder too much when I wore slick shirts. I put an FSE rubber pad on it. It's fun to fold the stock and use the rear and front pistol grips.  The pad interfered with the action, but I trimmed (razor tool) then sanded down the top of the rubber pad, and the charging handle passes it fine now. It functions and looks great, and it is really comfortable with the pad.www.fseusa.com/product_info.php?cPath=95&products_id=339 That pad fits underfolders too to make them comfortable, but I don't think you can fold it past the magazine with the pad on. |
