When I pull the bolt back on my WASR and slightly ride it forward it will stick open. Is this normal or a malfunction? |
If it only hangs up when you ride the bolt it's fine. I had an out of spec hammer that would catch the bolt even when I let it forward under its own power. Thankfully I had a spare that I could use. |
My G kit build does it when I slightly ride the charging handle forward. It has not once caught up while firing (about 1000 rounds total) and if you charge it properly it will not hang up. I have heard that some rifles will stop doing this after a few thousand rounds after the parts "get used to each other". Personally I find it useful as a BHO feature, so I don't want it to stop  .
