Hey guys. I am new around here. I was allowed to borrow this gun from a family friend who left it with me for a while. I am not sure when he wants it back but I sure like it. Its a Polytech but that is about all that I know. What can you guys tell me about it?

In the last pic, it's missing the hammer trigger pin. The hammer will not stay in place without it, and therefore will not fire.

Take off the top cover, and take a pic of the internals. Shouldnt be to hard to fix.

The picture is misleading. There is no pin missing and the weapon fires just fine. Looking at the picture it does look like it, but I just checked the rifle and everything is ok.

I am quite new to Aks. My understanding is that the Polytechs are nice weapons? I have fired about 30 rds through it and everything was great. The front sight is not quite straight, but I do think I need a tool for it.

Can anyone tell me anything more about this AK?

go to the tacked thread at the top of this forum marked "chinese AK links". there is a lot of good info there. i would be working out a deal with the real owner of the rifle and make it mine somehow.

ETA does it say legend on it anywhere?

if it is a legend, you have a keeper.

I don't think it says legend anywhere, but it did come with the manual that says Legend on the cover. Thanks for the feedback!
