First, not counting a couple of Valmets I bought previously and still have.  I bought this Norinco in 1987-88 - cost was $219.00 from J&G, if memory serves.  After the '89 ban I sold it to a good friend for $350.00.  He put the Russian wood on it and I recently bought it back for $400.00.  He knew it was worth more but what's a few bucks between friends......I was happy to get it back.

Good deal between friends. Beautiful weapon and nice price but it would, to me, look the greatest with the original wood and break. I know, opinions are like a______s but I'm a picky freak.Madtechcool

If that is a Norinco, not a Polytech, you have a very rare find and a nice friend to sell it back to you. Norinco made very few underfolders full stock, or folding stock for that matter. Don't ever sell that baby again!

I believe he was referring to the bayonet.  That's why he referred to it as an "underfolder(s) full stock".  You'll note he then adds "or folding stock for that matter".

Nice iron there TerryG3.

I appoligize if I was alittle confussing, but got excited seeing a rare piece not seen often. The Polytech did full stock with folding bayo's, underfolders with folding bayo's, but Norinco did very few of  these. I seen your's full stock folding bayo, & and a red bakelite double folder, folding bayo & folding stock.

Few folding bayonet models?  This is a Norinco but I also recall that at the time, they were commonly advertised so I assumed there were quite a few of the things.  I do rarely see one for sale so you must be correct.  Thanks for the info.
