[ARCHIVED THREAD] - wire side folder or tapco?

i want to know if i can get one of these to fit a norinco MAK 90? i know that they will be a little to thick, but is it possible? anyone done it? got pics? ALSO--IF I USE A TAPCO SIDE FOLDER -DOES IT WORK FOLDED? I HAVE SEEN PICS AND WHEN FOLDED IT LOOKS LIKE IT COVERS THE TRIGGER ???? THIS RIGHT? i would really like to get an old wire folder to fit it, i just want to know if its possible before i buy either one.

tapco folder is junk. wire folder is much better. It was made for real world use. The crapco was made for posers.

Yes You can get a Romak side folder to fit on a MAK Here is one on mine. All you have to do is trim down the sides some so that it will fit the Chicom receiver. Defently avoid the Crapco folder they are plastic POS. Here's my MAK.

Since only one of the tang holes will match up with the sidefolder on a Romanian I wonder if an E. German could be made to fit better with the one hole for the tang and the mount through the pistol grip nut by modifying the lower attachment point?
