| A friend brought by a rifle today it is stamped ak47 s it has a long barrel and bipod with flash hider. It appears to be Chinese but it does not have a manufacture on it just ak47s no import marks nothing. Does anyone have any info. He has had it since the earls 90's any help would be appreciated. |

AK-47s is a designation used on early imported Chinese AK rifles. Check the barrel as some of the early imported Chinese SKS and AK rifles had "Made in China Importer's name city,state" stamped in very small letters. A pic of the rifle would help. What type stock,bipod,flash hider,etc......? |
| I looked at it again today the only thing on it is AK47S and the ser # . There is no manufacture or import markings on the rifle. It has a clubfoot stock, Bipod looks factory. The pistol grip is smooth. It looks like an RPK and the ser# seems very low liek 806xx. |
