I just picked up this rifle and need some info if you have it. On the left side of the receiver it says:~AK47S and then the serial number, under that it says 7.62 x 39 mm and "made in china". On the bottom of the receiver(forward of mag well) it saye"inported by ~ARMCO, Boylston, MA" . All numbers are matching,pistol grip stock, bayonet lug,and a threaded on AK74 break(I don't think the break is original). Receiver is stamped. ~Thanks for your help in advance |
| Sounds like you have a nice preban Chinese 47 there! Price on these varies from area to area, but somewhere in the $750-950 range depending on condition of the blueing. ARMCO was one of the lesser known importers. It was made in factory 66 (should be a triangle with a 66 in it on the trunion), and exported by a company called Norinco. |
