It really depends on what you want it for. For plinking, it's quite an expensive plinker. As a representational Chinese Type 56, it will never be as it was a commercial gimmick to the US to give an "RPK-ish" rifle to the customers. But the Chinese version isn't really even close to that nor is the Russian/European version. However, with some parts, time, and money it could be a military-style rifle. As an investment, it's neat as it's a still-in-box rifle but that allure only appeals to a small sliver of folks as it's still a post-ban NHM-91.
