Did NORINCO ever market an AK that had a painted dark gray gloss finish? I'm thinking the one I have was probably painted by a previous owner. Definitely not parkerized.

Norincos were blued and had a shine to them, but without pics it hard to say what you got>

What others said, all are blued.
Sounds like you got yours from Bubba just in time.
