| just got a mak 90. i want to put a ak 74 comp on it, but dont really like the pin on...can the turned down threads be rethreaded for a screw on comp??? thanks!! |

If the threads have been turned down there are a couple of things you can do. 1. replace the barrel. 2.re-thread it to a AR-15 thread, I forget the thread pitch but it's 1/2 inch dia. 3. Weld some material back on the end, file it and re-thread it m14x1.0 then recrown it also. This is the way I did it. But you need to do something about the FSB locking pin your MAK don't have.   |
