I thought all the Chinese AK variants had spring loaded firing pins?  When I took my NHM-91 apart, I noticed that the firing pin was free floating in the bolt.  Both my stamped and milled MAK-90s have spring loaded firing pins.  I received it in a trade from one of my uncles who used to be a gunsmith, and he said that the firing pin was that way because he purchased the rifle NIB...  FWIW, all numbers match.

I'm not sure about this but I think that just the Polytechs had the spring -loaded fireing pin. Our NHM dies not have one-Norinco, nor does our Norinco Mak 90.Mad Max son of Madtechcool

Well that explains it!  I know for sure that my milled MAK-90 was a Polytech because it had Poly Technologies stamped on it near the stock, MAK-90 was scratched into the side of it, and it has the 386 in the oval stamp.

I guess I got lucky on the stamped MAK-90 having the Polytech bolt.

For some reason, I assumed that the NHM-91 should have a spring loaded firing pin because my other two MAK-90s have them....  I stand corrected and am happy to know that I am not missing anything!

ETA:  correction due to brain fart...
