| You know how you read posts about these guys getting unreal deals on guns? I used get annoyed because it never seemed to happen to me. Today my buddy at work says "my brother wants to sell his guns. Are you interested?" I say sure and get his number. I give the guy a call and it starts out with an AR for 1500$ so I am half tuned out. Then he says he has an AK an SKS also but he cant remember the make etc. I offer him 300$ for both and figured if he took it I couldn't go that wrong. Turns out I ended up with a really nice romanian SKS, a Milled Mak-90, 4 30round chincom mags, 200rds of ammo AND a 75 rd drum! For 300$ total! I am feeling pretty good....... |

I already have my order in for an ironwood walnut stock. I figured with the increadible deal I got I might as well spend some money to pretty it up. I am going to "experiement" with the thumbhole stock and see what I can make it into. I still can't get used to the short stock of the SKS so I am looking into a stock extention. I have seen some that are 1 and 2 inches that both slip on and screw on. They seem cheap so I guess I will roll the dice. |
