| The hungarians first start using the AMD rifles? |
That is my understanding as well. A small bit of trivia here as well. During production of the SA85M it appears that FEG either ran out of standard length gas pistons or tubes, or found a bunch of surplus AMD65 pistons/tubes and began using them on SA85Ms. If you have a short piston SA85 you could use the front furniture from an AMD65 with no problems. |
How about the fact that I have a post-ban SA-2000M. It's a stamped rec, w/AK-47 parts, not AKM. Long gas piston and regular HGs. |
| When it comes to things built in commie plants there is no telling what you will see done. This is one reason I have refuse to pay a penny extra when I see a commie gun being sold as "rare" or unique based on specific parts used durign it's construction. There are just to many variables when it comes to what is legit and what is not, and there is little way to tell whether or not the gun was made using odd parts from the factory or installed by a good gunsmith. |
