I'm going to look at an AKM 63.  It was built on a NoDak Spud stamped receiver, US parts (Tapco G2 Trigger group, muzzle break, and gas piston).

Is there any problems I need to look for?

thanks guys.

Sounds like its a kit build. I would check for canted sights and mag wobble. I would see if it has the original BBL and check for matching numbers also make sure its riveted correctly.

It's a Kit.  Sights are good, mags are very tight, and other than the 922 compliance parts all matching #s.
I posted pics on the pic thread.

Thanks for the info.

Looks pretty good. I would find a muzzle nut for it and call it good.

Be very careful of all kit guns.  In addition to above advice, been burned once on head space.

Check the gas tube for weld marks.  If a Saiga gastube or any akm gastube was used they would have to remove the metal shield/flange.

No, I took the hand guards off and didn't see any weld marks at all.  If there are they were well hidden.

What hand guards? Its supposed to be a naked gas tube with no hand guard. The forearm is supposed to be a vented steel hand guard with a wood pistol grip just like the one behind the trigger.

Sorry I mis-spoke, I removed the gas tube, and the lower vented stamped steel hand guard (w/wood pistol grip).
