Hello everyone, new to the sight. Having a little trouble with my 65. At 40 yards with the rear sight set on A i was shooting about 4 inches low with my front pin screwed all the way down and pegged all the way right to get centered. I moved it onto setting 1 and now i'm about 2 inches low at 40 yards with no more room left to adjust. My front pin isn't canted at all. Overall the barrel and rear sight look straight. Anybody had the same experience and what did you do to fix it?

You will get better results posting in General AK Discussion as there are more people with extensive knowledge about AKs in there.

"A" is a combat setting I think which is why it went up when you moved it to 100 meters. Sights set @ 100 will be low at 40. As for the windage, I have a Romanian that does the same thing. It was canted badly when I got it so I fixed it. It seens that it was canted for a reason, possibly a bent barrel or bad crown.

Edit; for clarification.

It's an AK, if you can hit a wall at 60m, its sighted in just fine...

They are usually a lot more accurate than most people think. You should be easily hitting pop cans @ 60m.
