| I just got my AMD-65 from peachstateguns. Tennesse guns is the manufacturer or put them together. Anyway, I am having what seems to be gas system problem with it. I can cycle rounds through it by hand, even slowly it works fine, but when shooting it doesn't extract the rounds fast enough and gets them caught up between the bolt and the fresh round. Basically it jams up. I have tried 3 diff kind of bullets and 2 diff mags. Makes no difference. Anybody else have this problem. Any input would be greatly appreciated! |
| I guess that Tenesse guns did not check the throat size. My castings were swelled up and that was what was causing the malfunction. Peachstate Guns is great though. They paid for me to ship the rifle back and sent me a new one even with another magazine. No questions asked. I highly recommend them. The AMD-65 was beautiful. Finish and all and I really like the Tapco trigger in it. |
Guess I should clarify that when I typed p-mag I meant PRO-MAG... 1 of which came with the rifle. Guess we're all lucky you were on the job to correct my error. By the way neither my Bulgy or AMD65 like the 20 or 30 round PRO-MAG magazines. Will find out asap if they like the new Tapco mags (T-mag? |
It's not a stretch to think maybe you accidentally posted something in the wrong forum, considering this is primarily a board dedicated to the AR15. I saw someone make the exact same mistake I thought you made, a few days ago. Add that to the fact that I've never seen anyone abbreviate promag as p-mag, and you can see where I'm coming from. Next time, I'll be sure to add a If you want reliable mags for your AMD-65, just buy some 20 round, steel Hungarian mags. Centerfire Systems has them for a decent price, and they look practically brand new. Don't even waste your time with promags or Tapco mags. |
