I just purchased a SSR 85C 2 Armory USA and am very pleased with the quality of the gun and the heavy receiver.  My question (before I fire it) is the break is slightly loose.  It is threaded on and held in by the pin but is about 1/2 turn too loose and cannot be tightened to the next notch.  I caught it at the gun dealer and he said all of the 85C's he got in were that way and not a problem to fire.  Am I OK with this or not?  Thanks in advance for your input.    Jim  It is the birdcage type.

Birdcage type comes off the AR15 weapons, since your rifle has the same threading as the AR series.

Mine had the slant brake, which is slightly different, but the looseness will NOT be a problem, as long as the retaining pin is working.  Fire away...

Thank you for your quick response!  Needed a reassurance before possibly sending the break into orbit.     Jim
