Got a new SAM7 Carbine (still haven't fired it yet ) but I noticed a couple things about it.  First, I am used to dealing with stamped AK's and noticed this milled SAM7 does not have a receiver center support.  Is this normal for milled AK receivers?  Also the only negative I can see is that the stock does not have a trap door for the cleaning kit.  Removing the butt plate shows the stock is hollow.  I bought a Bulgy butt plate with trap door assembly, but the hollowed out stock will not allow this to work.  Any ideas?

Since the SA M-7 is based on a milled receiver AK-47 type rifle (rather than a stamped receiver AKM type), then yes, they supply it with a buttstock that has no cleaning kit storage compartment (which is the typical way of finding an AK-47 buttstock).

As for the lack of the receiver center support,......... it's not in there because milled receivers are designed to not have it. The milled receiver is rigid enough (read stronger), that it does not incorporate or need the center support found in stamped steel AK receivers.

All is as supposed to be
