Anyone know if the barrel on the SLR-107 is threaded under the 24mm front sight base?  It looks like mine is, or maybe its just the edge or the muzzle crown.  Hard to tell without popping off the FSB.

I don't think so.

I only own one Bulgarian rifle (106) and it's not. Never heard of one with threads under the fsb.

The barrels are not threaded.

The front sight block IS threaded 24mm.

Some saigas are IIRC, pretty sure SLRs aren't.

Can anyone confirm whether or not it would be possible to thread an SLR 107 barrel to 5/8 x 24?

This would be the actual barrel - not the 24 mm front sight block base. In other words, the standard front sight block would be removed leaving the barrel underneath.

Thanks

Doable, looking at a hefty price tag though, not to mention the lead time.
