| I really want to get an SA M7 with fixed stock right now. One that is new, I found an underfolder version but I am wondering if it is worth it? I hear underfolders are very uncomfortable to shoot. Is the SAS M7 more of just a collector type AK? I'm assuming it would not be cost efficient to convert an underfolder to fixed stock |
| Underfolders are OK, but you should really shoot one before you buy one. Comfort varies for different shooters. The SASM7 is nice, and not particularly a collector (excluding the SASM7 Classic), but if you really want a fixed stock, then buy a fixed stock. In terms of fixed stocks, the SAM7 is a great AK, but the SLR101S is a better choice right now, as it is a true Bulgy import. Same general rifle, but more valuable going forward. The SAM7 has a US-made receiver. |

[span style='font-weight: bold;']Quoted:[ The SASM7 is nice, and not particularly a collector (excluding the SASM7 Classic), The SAM7 has a US-made receiver. The Sam 7 is a shooter, while the Sam 7 Classic I would classify as a collectable since it closely resembles a type 3 milled AK from the 50's. The Sam 7 is similar to the current commercially milled AK that is used around the world. A milled receiver with parts from the newer AKM, & AK 100 guns. The Sam 7 receiver is 80% made in Bulgaria, & finished in the USA. GARY
