Does anyone know what year Arsenal started making the Classic? Also, were there any years that suffered from quality issues (like the 107FR's in 2008 for example).
I'm in the process of talking myself into buying one right now

I believe that they came out in late 01 or early 02. Bought mine in April of 02. The book that came with my rifles lists the date of manufacture as 6/12/01. I think that was the date of manufacture on all of the early rifles.
The only issue that I remember was that some of the gas ports were over drilled. Meaning they drilled through one side of the barrel and into the other. One of mine was sent back and had the barrel replaced. The worst part is that the price back then was $600 per rifle. Who says that there is no inflation. |
