I am looking at buying a Bulgarian Single Stack AK47 at http://centerfiresystems.com/akagunssr85c-01.aspx
My question is how hard would it be to convert the single stack AK to accept the double stack 30 round mags? |

They're originally Bulgarian Type-III milled AK-47s with new-build trunnions and a 1.5mm receiver (not to mention that the AK-47's barrel is a bit thicker than the AKM). IIRC, the trunnions are standard-width (like the Romanian WASRs, unlike the Zastava PAP), so it's just a case of dremeling out the magazine well. That, and all the 922r stuff. Also, the trunnion is a little different. It has the normal fixed-stock tang, but the back of the receiver is a flat face, it too must be dremeled out to accept standard stocks. |

Wonder if there is a site or youtube video showing someone making the conversion? That would help a lot. |
