I have someone offering me a AK. It has AUSA on the barrel. Does that stand for Arsenal USA? Also, the barrel isn't stamped .233 or 5.56. Does anyone have an idea if this is a 5.56 barrel or, because it isn't marked, a .223?

AUSA should be Armory USA of Texas (formerly Arsenal USA)
It's hard to say what caliber it is without a pic, but I only recall them making 7.62 AK's. I'm thinking the easiest way to confirm it to slap in a 7.62 magazie, as I don't think a 5.56 of 5.45 mag would fit. |
