My carrier only returns less than 1".  All the actions are smooth and no sign of any rubbing or parts catching.  I checked the air flow throught the gas chambers and everything seems to be fine.  There are only 2 other problems I can think of.

One is that the piston chamber is a new type with a pickny rail on it...does it lock tight enough...such seems to be alot of space for gases to escape.

The second is if the piston itself is long enough.  Are there different length for different barrel sizes.  Did I receive the wrong length in my kit.  How far up should the piston go...should it rest in the gas block, I would think so.  Right now I believe it is a few inches back.

Would like to discuss this over the phone if possible.

LikeI thought the carrier was too short.  I must of rec'd an AMD 65 bolt and piston with my kit.  The serial #'s didn't even match.
