| whats up i have a wasr 10 that takes hi caps the bolt it came with would not close all the way so i got another bolt do i need to head space the gun any help thank you |

hmm whats up with that, my girlfriends wasr wouldnt close on olympic 7.62x39 but worked with 5 other types of ammo. It was so bad you'd have to stomp the charging handle to clear it. My solution was to not use that crap in there. It measured, on average .003" larger in the center of the case than all other ammo. I dont know it thats the problem or not. |
YES And some capitalization and punctuation would make your post more reader friendly too. |

Ive Noticed They have A little Bit Of Plat In The Trunions Even With The Pins Reinstalled Ive Took Apart Kits With Good headspace and get them all back together to not close press the barrel out just a tad with the pin still Installed. And Had the barrel move just the proper amount to not close on a nogo and close on a go . But I Build With Screws So I Just Uncrew The Front Trun Get A 8 cents and a 5/8 grade eight bolt and a 2 lb mini sledge and persuade it . |
In a rifle with proper headspace, the bolt will close on a "go" headspace gauge, but not on a "no go" headspace gauge. There is also a "field" headspace gauge. If the bolt closes on both a "go" gauge and a "no go" gauge, but not on a field gauge, the rifle has excessive headspace, but not so much that it is dangerous. If the bolt closes on a "field" gauge, the headspace is dangerously excessive. This means that the headspace is large enough that a case may rupture when fired. |
