[ARCHIVED THREAD] - ak not fireing

hello i have an sar 1 and wen i am tring to bump fire it some times the fireing pin just barely touches the primer and the shell dosent go off this happens rather often even when rapid fireing. I tried a new bolt and bolt carrer but it still does it. This can be rather flusterateing any of you guys out there know what i am talking about or have had this happen to them????

Never had this happen. I would start by removing the dust cover to get a look at what is happening when the hammer strikes the firing pin. Does the hammer sit and move staight and true? Does it give a good whack to the firing pin?

i have pulled my fcg out and found a bad sear spring i think that may have been the problem
