I have a Rommy g kit that was assembles on a Nodak Spud receiver designed for it. So heres the question, why do bulgarian waffle mags lock in but my cheap Hungarian and romanian mags will not fit. It seems they might be too wide. They just won't go up far enough to lock. Any ideas so I don't have to get rid of 6 mags. Thanks |

I just got some Hungarian mags, 20 and 30 rd. Of the half-dozen or so that I bought, 2 didn't fit right in my WASR. One was two wide across the feedlips, the other wouldn't lock up at the rear by the mag release. For the latter, a dremel worked to carefully work that lug down on the mag. The former, after measuring with calibers across the lips and the sides of the mag, was a few hundreths too wide. A bench vise fixed that. I <3 my WASR. It's a like a Fred Flintstone rifle.
