| AM considering adding an AK to round out my EOW arsenal and am looking for suggestions as to what to buy. I know absolutely nothing about AK's and am seeking advice on a brand i.e. Saiga, Norinco, Romanian, Bulgarian...my head hurts. What I really want is a good AK at a reasonable price that has reliability and durability. HELPhead.gif |
Good suggestion right here. I've got a Vector. It's a good rifle. I like mine and I've never heard anything bad about them from anyone that's actually owned one. |
| Arizona Response Systems has nice rifles also. The fit an finish is better than the Vector I used to have and a Lancaster that I currently have. They all use the G2 FCG but ARS modified a double hook Tapco G2 trigger to work in the NDS3 receivers they use. They do cost more though. |

thats good stuff right there, to bad its out of my price range. i will stick with a semi auto and let you half the nfa goodness. |

WASR definitely if hand picked. The front sights have a tendency to be canted to the side. I bought mine from c133jim and it's great. He had built it a while back from a Rommie kit with a Nodak spud receiver and after a while decided to sell to me. I don't know if he has any others he wants to sell, but I'm happy. |
