Talk about a HUGE difference.....NO MORE TRIGGER SLAP and SORE FINGER......That was the best investment and improvement to a rifle....I installed it in a WASR and now it shoots just like my (2) MAC90s........SWEET!!!!!

I've installed the G2 fcg in several guns. Makes a BIG difference. Well worth the $$.

my 2 Romys came without slap, but poor feeling Century triggers, so I tried a Romy takeoff fcg just to see what the original should feel like, and That One had slap.... Quick call to Ken at Red Star Arms cured mine.

Glad you found a great value upgrade

I've swaped triggers in an AR before, but never in an AK, as I've never had the need. How long did it take you to do it?  Maybe 10 minutes?

The process is very similar, other than the method of pin retention.  Swapping the FCG in an AK shouldn't take more than 5 minutes if you've never done it before.  After you've done it a few times, it's a 60sec job.

It depends if you have a PITA retaining wire, on some it has taken me quite a while to get the wire back in correctly.  If you have one of the logical wires that goes in easy, or one of the plates that replaces the wire, it is fast and easy to swap.

Thanks for the FYI guys.  I like the trigger in two of my Arsenal's, but was considering changing the trigger in a third one, which is an SAM7A1R. I think they tried to do some sort of 2-stage trigger in that model, which I don't care for, as it actually slaps a tad bit. Not bad for slow controlled shots, but a little uncomfortable for rapid bursts of three of more shots. Since the receiver is cut for double-hook, I'll probably do a double-hook G2.

This was my first time changing an AK trigger out and I had a PITA retaining spring.......it took me 35 minutes...

They just get easier, but the $11 retaining plate from RSA is as easy as a FAL plate instead of using a wire. Depends how many guns you have...

I am new to AK as my first one (WSAR from AIM) should be in next week so please excuse the noobage but....

1. How much was it?

2. Where did you get it?

3. Will it work on a Romy WSAR?

4. Is there a web page I can look at to see pics of how to do it?

Thanks.

The best trigger in any of my AKs is my factory original Norinco trigger.  It's SMOOTH...

While I've replaced AR triggers for RRA NM 2-stage ones, I've never felt the need to replace any of my AK triggers.

Chinese Norinco
Bulgarian from Global Trades
Polish underfolder (probably uses a G2 trigger already)

You shouldn't have to change the trigger in your new WASR from AIM.......this quality issue has already been fixed in all new purchases....
