Can anyone fill me in further?  I understand these rifles were manufactured after the ban and brought in by CIA, but how do you know if someone bought a receiver ad built a gun or if the gun was brought in whole?

How do you determine Value?

I picked this up at a local pawn shop with a Ultimak, crappy BSA red dot, Druganov Stock and Chinese Drum mag.  My price was awesome considering the extras, but how do I determine the value of the gun if I want to trade or sell?

Range trip was great, hit everything I aimed at and went bag every time...

That's what I think, too, but how do you know for sure?  I read a "review" on Ak47.net and it suggested they were all made from parts kits, but you could also get a receiver by itslef.

Anyway, it's a good shooter, if nothing else.

I paid $380 at the last gun show for a thumbhole stocked MAADI if that helps.

No one is going to put a Chinese FSB on an Egyptian rifle voluntarily.  That's one of the rifles cobbled together from Maadi receivers and Chinese parts.  I know there are some issues getting European parts to fit them but that's about all I know.  It's not going to be as desirable as a regular Maadi, but will no doubt be a good shooter.

I say enjoy it! Besides, how could you look at a gunshot wound and tell any diff?

If it shoots, the rifle is worth about $300.00 in my opinion with the crappy ATI stock and no US parts after you take the stockset off. The drum is probably worth $150.00.  Davehal9000 is right, it is one cobbled together with Chinese parts.

How much did it cost you?

MAK 90 parts built on an Egyptian receiver. I bought one years ago not knowing what it was. I  still have it, but wouldn't make that mistake again.

The ATI stock is the only one that will fit what with the angle cut stock. The rear tang has two holes for screws.

I paid $400.00 for the whooe package, including the Drum, which I didn't think was a bad deal.  I figured the drum was worth at least $125.00 and ANY Ak is worth 275.00, easy...even a red headed step child like this.  I actually went back twice because the CIA import stamp made me leary...

I was considering selling it, but since its a mutt, like me, I think I'll just keep it and play crazy commie at our local Tactical Matches...

I added an extneded mag release and it really helps release the mags a lot better/faster.
