| Jumped in, too. 5,400 rounds of Bulgarian ammo here, 5,400 on the way, and just put in for a Tantal from Atlantic. People, this is a boat that I would not miss. |
The 70g has a little less Velocity and Energy compared to the 60g, but it's still effective and still and definately more than fine for range use. |
For starters the velocity is somewhere in the 2400+ fps range. About a 500fps loss by only going up 10gr in bullet weight (from the 60 grainers). This of course affects trajectory. Not quite as flat a shooter as 5.45 is capable of. Also, from what I've read here they do not have the vaunted "air pocket" in the nose FWIW. Nah, I'll stick to something a little more "dynamic" and at least closer to the idea behind the small-caliber-high-velocity concept. I agree though, that it's okay for plinking. |
