I got my Romy G kit from a fellow member who demilled it.  I have had it for a while and was showing it to a friend of mine when he noticed something weird about it...What do you guys think?

possible they marked it worng than grinded it down and remarked at the factory (looks like a 7 remarked to 6)

also might just be the rough romy machining

I think that fellow member did not like altered serial number and got rid of the kit.
You can buy unmarked brand new German carrier that is of superb quality from K-Var if that ground and remarked carrier bothers you.

If remaining numbers match, that altered carrier makes it non-matching numbers kit.
(Carrier, bolt, safety lever, front trunnion, gas tube, recoil spring assembly, dust cover, sight leaf)

looks like a rearsenaled forced match, no big deal

The bolt carrier is just a part, unlike the receiver.  Don't worry about it.

No big deal.  Like mentioned previously, could have been a replacement when rifle was in service and numbers were put on new carrier to match rifle.
