Today at the range I let a friend shoot my WASR 10 and her second round she doubled. I stopped her, checked everything, fired a few rounds and everything was fine. I gave it back to her and she proceeded to double and triple the next 3 trigger pulls. I took the gun back and fired a full magazine through the gun with no malfunctions of any kind. I took the gun apart tonight and tested for hammer follow, but everything is fine. Does anyone have any ideas why this happened? She is kind of skittish now with the AK and I would like to be able to give her a reason that it happened. |

Once in a while, I'll have the same thing happen. Usually it's either at the very beginning of a range session or at the very end. I've chalked it up to exactly what he said, also... holding the rifle too loosely against my shoulder. Now, I need to figure out how to do it at will and for the entire mag! |
+1. Second post of a similar occurrence in the last couple of weeks. New shooters and new women shooters need to hold that rifle into their shoulders tighter. They don't want to do that with a shotgun or they won't ever want to shoot again. |
