how the hell do you remove the safety selector? i bought the retaining plate from tapco because i bent the shepherds crook last time i put it back in. and to put the retaining plate in i need to remove the selector but i have no idea how to do that. Edit: nevermind, it just figures i get upset enough to post this and then i figure it out within 10 minutes. |
| yea... it was kinda amusing to me as well, but now i have a new problem... the disconnecter is in the way of the safety selector being put back in, but i think the whole trigger assembly and hammer etc. etc. has to be in before i can get the selector back in and have this whole thing work. anybody else put the retaining plate in who has better instructions then the ones they sent with the retaining plate? |

What country rifle are you trying to do this to? There is a difference in the removal of a Chinese versus a Romanian in my experience. Rotate the lever all the way up until the tab on the end of the lever hits the back of the disconnector, at this time pull the trigger back to give the tab on the lever some clearance for removal. At the same time you may need to push down on the disconnector to get the selector to clear. Linx310's guide |
