Does anyone know a dealer that has these in stock?  I'd like to add one to my collection for general plinking.... (my 10/22 is lonely!)

I tried Centerfire Systems (only place online that I could find).  I looked at SOG (SouthernOhioGuns), but they require you to be an FFL to order/get info.  Any other sources worth trying?

Do you have Dunham's Sporting Goods down there in Texas?  That is where I bought mine about a year ago for $200.  I think they are closer to $300 now.  I have not seen one at my local store for a few weeks.  FWIW they are alot of fun!!

Does 922r apply to these? Can the dragunov type stock be removed and install a regular pistol grip and buttstock?

Only 10 rnd mags so no parts count issues.

I have also seen the long bbl rpk version at their show tables earlier this winter.

I gotta ask what the RPK versions you saw were going for. I've been having eye sex with them but the 475 price tag pushed me away from the table. Thats nuts. It's a local shop and he always has it at the shows. I know he has had the gun for 2-3 years and when I first saw it on the wall it was 300. I love my akt98 but can't part with that kind of cash for that version of it. (I have to add that it's high enough at that price I have never even tried to haggle with him so I don't know what bottom dollar is)

Don't recall the price, hazy memory says same 350ish as my akt98. Call the AStore, since their web and inventory vary a bit at times.

Those East German 15-20 round mags Sarco sells (#AK006) can be modified to work in the WASR22.
It takes a lot of work, but when finished it looks like a real 30 rounder (it is) and it telescopes from 15 to 20 rounds with a push of a button.
Opening the receiver mag well to fit a normal AK mag is required, not hard and the original plastic 10 rounder still works.
Once the 2 rivets are punched out, fitting may begin, using the same holes & rivets over again.
Some grinding, drilling, cutting, fitting & re-riveting tests skill levels somewhat.
They seem more reliable than the furnished plastic 10 rounders
