I saw one at the gun show last weekend.

I had what was obviously US made hardwood furniture (just like in the Atlantic ad) and it looked great.

Even the park job looked good, much better than most Vectors I've seen.

I have one - but mine has the black poly stock set. I got a look at the wood version at a show and the finish was nice but I would want more of a red stain look if I had the wood stock, the one at the show was dark brown.

The park job is good - I thought I might not like it but it turned out not to be a non issue for me in the end.

The receiver is marked Model SLR 100H Cal. 7.62 x39 Arsenal Bulgaria Intrac. Knox, TN
Also has marking from Gordon Technologies, Crown Point, IN and the Vector Arms NSL UT markings.

I ran about 300 rounds through it a week ago and had no issues. It was a ton of fun and it got pretty hot to the touch.

Minor issue with the cleaning rod, I removed it and it won't go back in all the way, but I have not had time to fool with it too see exactly what is wrong.

I have some pics I can get up in a bit....need to look into how to post them.

Rod might have some set to it, and it's butting against the edge of the receiver instead of sliding underneath.

Try inserting it to the point where it hangs up, then slowly rotate it in your fingers while pushing.  Should drop all the way in.

so would a set of russian red wood fit on these and would that be legal?

I have the black poly furniture on my vector milled ak, U S parts are FCG,pistol grip and buttstock. The pistol grip and butt stock are from global trade(no hole in the butt stock for a cleaning kit).

You'd need a set made for a milled receiver (Type III).  Extremely rare and when you can find them, they demand a premium.  Better to get a nice stamped variant and put Ruskie furniture on that.  Sets are available from time to time on the boards and can also be found on the AKFORUM. www.akforum.net

I remember thermocafe's review because that inspired me to buy Vector's milled AK with the black poly furniture.  He also did a review of the Global Trades AK. I think I might have some of those pictures from those reviews on my computer. If you want them just e-mail me.

would the furniture of a milled polytech legend work?

anyone know if that would be legal. or could i put some polish wood on it.

Perfectly legal.  As long as you have the required number of compliant parts.  Polish wood would work too.  "Greentimber" has sets for sale on the boards.

To play it safe, on my SLR-100H, I have the following US parts:

Gas Piston
Hammer
Trigger
Disconnector
Muzzle Nut
Magazine Follower and;
Floorplate

I bought one a few months back, fit and finish is great, finish is nowhere near Arsenal's finish though.  Shoots great.  I put some polish wood on it and find that I grab it whenever I hit the range.
