Just for info sake what is the best flash hider out there - or comp or combo? |
|
The below is for the ar-15, not the ak-47. Sorry, didn't notice where it was posted before responding. I like the Yankee Hill Phantom 5C2: http://www.yankeehillmachine.com/store/muzzle.html They make good products, and I have a few of these and a few bird cages and its all good. I haven't done a scientific comparison, so I can't comment whether it performs better as a flash suppressor, or works very well as a muzzle break. |

Try this. www.akconcepts.com/default.asp?page_id=86&parent_id=0 Been thinking of picking one up for my SAM7. |

Okay here's what I've gathered. As far as brakes...the Tantal style brake is one of the best and cheapest. Another good one is the AK Concepts brake but more expensive. For flash hiders the regular old A1/A2 birdcage FH's do pretty well on AK's along w/ the Smith Vortex. |

My vote go's to the AK74 type brake. Here's why : 1. Was originally designed to function with the AK. 2. Looks correct on the weapon. 3. Probably the best brake going for the AK (refer to #1) 4. You will benefit FAR more from a brake than a flash hider on the range AND in combat........What are the chances that you will need flash suppression over recoil compensation ? Planning on going into combat after dark in near future ? get my meaning here ? *KEEP IT SIMPLE......KEEP IT PRACTICLE MY FRIEND. |
