| Have decided to buy from Atlantic and have narrowed it down to the Lancaster built fixed wooden stock AK47 or the Polish underfolder. This will be my first AK. Is the Pole worth the extra $130? I like the looks of the underfolder, but like the feel of the fixed wood. Are the Polish kits any nicer than the Romanians? Just trying to justify that much more money for the different stock. Any other differences between them that would justify the extra money for the Polish one. Thanks |
| Can't help you on which , as I have never had neither . As for the stock though , I'm not a fan of any folding stocks because they never have a good cheek weld . I have an underfolder though and find it very comfortable to shoot , not as good as the fixed stock but about as good as I've had on anything folding or collapsing , except my LMT AR . The best thing to do in a case like this is buy both . LOL |

Having shot both a fixed and UF this weekend, I actually had better groups with the UF and IMO was more comfortable to shoot. The UF stock seemed to spread the recoil over a larger area of the shoulder due to the design. The whole cheek weld thing takes a little getting used to because at first it felt like my lower jaw was going to take a beating against the UF stock, but after the first few shots, I found my "sweet spot" on the stock and shot it better than my fixed?? and it didn't punish my jaw like I thought it would. Nothing looks better than a range full of bench shooting AR's, all staring at the guy having the time of his life, while he's blasting away in the standing position with a UF. Other differences would be: 1. looks cooler 2. get one while you can...the ban is cominghock.gif Sorry I cant give you any info on the Rom vs Polish, but I think vectors use polish and I'm very happy with my vectors. |
