I hear everybody bashing WASR-10's and I am beginnig to 2nd guess my own gun .. I bought it at a gun show and I am guessing its a century arms .. Is there any way to tell the maker . it didnt come with a box or anything .. ALSO if something happens to it (malfunction) will they fix it?? How long do they cover these things?

A WASR is an AK like any other. I just ranks pretty low on the old totem pole with these new manufactures entering the AK game. I have a WASR and it's held true to the tale of reliability with Kalashnikov rifles.

I don't own one, but it should say on the receiver if it is a century.

over 1000 rounds through mine, and only 1 jam... but, to the rifles credit, that same exact round jammed in BOTH of my other ak's which are yugos... so im just guessing it was a shitty HP round. i swapped the mag out and it loaded fine. they will shoot fine, its mainly finish quality and a little accuracy that people are talking about when they say they suck.

From everything I have read, if it has problems they aren't going to sneak up on you!  If it works now it should keep working, and if it has problems you'll know it from the get-go.

Either runs or it doesn't. If it's Century, it wil have CIA on it. Look for canted sights.

I bought a used rusty Wasr10 with a canted gas block real cheap. It works just fine.

I don't think that there is anything wrong with most WASRs. They may be a bit ugly, but if they work for you, they will likely continue to work for you, no fears on that.

I have a SAR1, and not a WASR, but they are pretty much the same rifle, and have never had problems with it, and would buy another. I am seriously considereing a wasr underfolder if they are substantially cheaper than the yugos. The Yugos are a good example of Century doing a good job on AKs, I have heard damn few complaints about thier Yugos, and I believe that they installed new barrels on most of them, and that is a step that would be easy to screw up.

My WASR10 runs great. No canted sight block, no FTF, no FTE.  Its had thousands of rounds through it.  I did replace the fire control group though.

The Egyptian Maadi used to be bad-mouthed like the Wasr is now . . . for the same reasons. That has changed over the last 5-10 years. I suspect in 10 more, we will be saying :"Man, I should have bought all the cheap WASR's I could afford back then !!!"
