Tried for 3 hours to call COPES today to order some nice Bulgy AK mags, phone busy all times i finally got thru, and ordered the mags, the guy said its been nuts all day selling mags. he commented that the progunners are worried that is seems obvious the anti-gun loonies are getting into office.  seems logical, if not a bit premature.

I think you're right. I'm guessing they win the house but with only a razor thin majority and with a few relatively conservative dems from the red states. They're not going to take the senate and you have to figure that half of the dems out there remember what happened in '94 after they pushed through the AWB. The real threat to our gun rights right now is at the state and local level. |

I wish I could afford to hoard more than I have. In the past 2 months I've only managed to buy (6) Bulgy 5.56 AK mags, (24) AK-47 mags from SPG, (10) USGI 30rnd AR mags, and a SLR-106FR in addition to everything I already have. I'm not too worried about PA state laws but I do have a plan on what to buy before the Presidential election. I know I want at least : (24) - AK-47 mags from SPG (12) - AK-74 mags from ORF (1) - USGI 20rnd AR mag (20) - USGI 30rnd AR mags (9) - Black 30rnd Bulgy 5.56 AK mags (1) - Beta 5.56 CMAG drum with AUG and AR-15 feed towers. (25) - 20rnd FAL mags (30) - 20rnd G3 mags DSA STG-58 FAL Arsenal SAM-7 Carbine Polish PMKMS underfolder STG-556 (US made AUG) That's my goal for the next two years. Considering I've spent nearly that much since the AWB sunset I imagine that it will be possible. I'm looking at almost $900 in magazines and $4500 in rifles. If I can pull all of that off I may just have to add a FN PS90 or a 9mm AR or something into the mix. We'll see. |
+1 I can't wait until everyone figures out that there isn't going to be a single "anti-gun" measure pushed. the Dem's just aren't ready to risk that considering their trying to end the republican take back of power- including the WH. |

I am not saying the sky is falling. I dont think any type of anti-gun laws will be passed unless the Dems win in 08. If that happens, then there is sure to be more bans. Getting anti-gun laws passed is a core value among far left Dems. Let's face it, there are many people out there who think only the goverment has a right to have guns, and they will not stop untill they win. |

I think a Ban will come (or at least all gun related supplies will drop 50-80%) when/if there is a nuclear bomb terror attack CONUS. Probably from 2008-2015 I see this as highly likely. Dems don't bother me. Any pres in office during a Nuclear Bomb strike will happily sign away the last of the 2nd amendment, it's what the Powers That Be have been wanting for a long time. |

so true.. I live in Mass which still honors the AWB that ended in 04.. but I still manage to have fun without FH and collaspable stocks... |

I have yet to lose one penny on cheap mags no matter who was in office, but I did make a BUNCH of money on them when the ban came. Anybody remember the $125 Glock 45 mags? I look at any of my weapons as money in the bank and like money they only go up in value. Like the old commercial said, You can pay a little NOW, or pay ALOT later. Of course I also remember when Chinese Drums were $30 each also. What are y'all paying for them now? |

yep during the last AWB I sold enough glock $20 high caps @ the insanely elevated prices to pay for a hk91 & hk93,the dealer I bought the mags from offered to double my money after the AWB came in I said no thank you though I did let him have a few back @ that price never hurts to keep a friend I think assault type ammo may be a target this time again anyone remember $300/k 7.62x39 I do.... so watch 9mm 223 308 and our ruskie type ammo go through the roof over the next months

since you were the originator of this thread i must ask, you have a LOT of AK's that you are wanting to make a bunch of profit on soon huh? just like the people who had stockpiled so much 7.62x39 ammo that a while back they wanted to raise some BIG dollars quick so they started all those stupid "no more AK ammo will be imported, buy it now while you can" threads to raise the prices through the roof. believe me, karma will be a bitch when you least expect it camaro |
