padded case for underfolder AK > AK Discussions

I tried the search function, but couldn't find anything, so here goes: Do I need to get a 28-inch padded guncase for my underfolder AK, or am I best to get a 30-inch long case? I see them in both sizes at various websites.

At the last gunshow I attended I got a 30 inch case. Theres around 3 inches to spare so you will be fine with a 28 inch case.

I saw a Vector UF on the EE recently in a violin case. UBER cool. It got locked for btt violations 'cause everybody was ooh-ing and aaah-ing over it.

Buy a black, padded $15 Adidas tennis racket case - they perfectly fit my underfolders and are completely unobtrusive for suburban dweller carry.

Wilson and other brands make them too, some are double sided (to hold two rackets) so you can store spare mags in the other side.

oh too cool. That might be worth looking at for a sidefolder.

A padded M-60 spare barrel cases works nicely and an underfolder can fit inside with a 20rd mag inserted.

Padded M60 case provides better protection and more versatile than the tennis racket case. How much are you guys paying for gun cases?

It's an AK who needs a case, a trash bag will work fine and you have money left over for ammo. Now if you have an extra tennis bag laying around, go for it!

the site for sunsetguns was last updated in 2004. are they still in business? i have been searching on-line for the m60 sbb, no luck yet. i also read that the bren barrel bags will work , no luck there either. i looked at a tennis raquet case at academy sports today ,22 bucks, not bad i might get one.

if anyone has a m-60 padded bag thats in good shape that they would part with let me know.thanx,

I picked up an M-60 barrel bag for mine at the local Army/Navy store. $10 and it fts my Yugo perfectly.

I tried a couple on-line sites and one was sold out of the M-60 barrel bags, the other had barrel bags but the sales guy said, "Look...I'll be honest with you. These barrel bags are filthy", so I passed 'em up.

Found a nicely-padded "Wilson" 2-racket case on sale at Dick's that has the Wilson sports logo, and "TENNIS" on both sides in big letters. Ought to fill the bill nicely after a few internal mods.
