I have a WASR-10 and I'd like to put a romanian folding stock on it.  Cheaper than Dirt has a disclaimer that states, "not legal to install on guns imported after 1984".  I'm not sure what this would have to do with the old assault weapons ban, but if they're referring to that, wouldn't swapping the romanian stock for the romanian folding stock be pretty much even?

I know of nothing that would prohibit using the stock, as long as the rifle is 922r compliant.

There is No Violation of the Law, as you are just changing a Foreign Fixed Stock for a Foreign Folder.

US made Parts in WASR-10 are:

FCG=3 parts

Pistol Grip=1 part

Gas Piston=1 part

Muzzle Compensator(if there is one)=1 part

You have to understand the distinction between an imported rifle and a domestic rifle. A rifle more or less built in Romania is considered to be a US built rifle when it has less than 10 countable foreign parts.
